finally my internet is working! yayy!! well, i have a longlonglong post to blog about so brace yourself..=)

so, it all started on the 23rd, which is saturday. we had our very last choir practice. and becayse they were having a christmas party at teban gardens (which i didnt go to), there was no youth. so i went home cos we were having our family christmas celebration for my mother's side at my house. my mum said that they would be coming early so we all bathed and changed and all and waited. and waited. and waited some more. they were supposed to come at 4, and ended up coming at 7. but anw, so we started the dinner. the turkey was super yummy =) and then we watched some tv, and played some games that my aunty planned. like you choose whether the next card is gonna be bigger or smaller. then if you're right, you win some prizes. you go on until you decided it's enough and want to claim your prizes, or when you guess wrong and lose all your prizes. it was very fun. then we sang some christmas carols. you should hear my cousin lester sing suprano..very funny. the it was present time, this year my presents were quite nice, better then last year at least. i got:

- a trinket box where you stick on all the beads yourself
-a bathrobe (pink!!)
- a mickey mouse notebook
- a beautiful pair of tiffany earrings (heart shaped)
- a kinda scary looking coin pouch
- a soft toy pig keychain
- 2 t shirts

the next day was sunday so obviously i went to church. i was supposed to go home early so i went for 1st service with my sis. after that, i went to find maxine and the gang in 1 of the classrooms. so we just talked lah, and lazed around a bit, that was until we found out spiky hair shawn (let's just call him shs) was in the room opposite ours. so we went inside to tease him, cos hilary wasnt with us. he was with lin qi, this p4 geper in my school who's way way weirder then normal gepers and his little sis. so lin qi came to me and started doing weird actions while practically shouting in my ear " the earth is spinning, the earth is spinning!! it's in front of you, beside you, behind you, all around you!!!" while circling me. told you he was weird. so i started telling him he was the reason mainstreamers all thought we were freaky weirdos and how obviously i knew the earth was spinning. later hilary came with danae ( she's a year older and has been living in london for a long time. according to maxine, she's very nice but i wouldnt know) and once hilary saw shs, she immediately went back to the room we were in just now, so we dragged shs to that room and hilary immediately took her stuff and went with danae to the next room. oh well.. so we just stayed there and played and teased shs somemore until i had to leave.

we went home and i watched the VMAs on channel 5. watched it till i fell asleep. woke up just in time to change and get ready to go to my cousin's house. we were celebrating christmas with my father's side. so we went there, watched a bit of tv, and started dinner. it wasnt as good as esterday's one but it was still nice. then we watched more tv and drank some wine. they all said my 3rd sis was drunk cos she kept laughing at herself and some random stuff. haha. then they all said wanted to go to kbox but my mum didnt let us cos we were supposed to sleep early cos we had to reach church early for our christmas performance. so they planned and planned and finally decided to go to my aunty's house to play mahjong, but not before i got my present. cos my dad only has a sister and a brother, i only got 1 present, a billabong pencilbox. i was like ecstatic lah!! i had been looking for a pencilbox for the whole holidays. i'm also gatting a pair of birkenstocks ( yayyyyy!!!), but my aunty hasnt bought them yet.so we went there and the adults played mahjong while the reast of us played cards. we played taiti the after that, my cousin thought us a different way to play blackjack, the way they play at the casino apparently. then we used chocolate as gambling chips, very funny.. so we were supposed to sleep by 10 30, but ended up onlly leaving at 11 30. =P went home and helped my sis wrap her christmas presents (cookies!) even though my mum was shouting at us to go sleep. so, finally at 12 40, i went to sleep.

next morning was suppoed to wake up at 6 30, ended up waking up at 7. then my mum yelled and screamed at my sis before finally leaving, very late. after just leaving, we realised we forgot our choir files. we turned all the way back to take and my father drove like super fast to get us there on time. we were only 3 minutes late. phew. so we warmed up, changed into ouir outfits, put on makeup and went to wait outside the hall. i was like super nervous lah but once i went up, i wasnt nervous anymore. the skit improved a lot and everyone was laughing at elijah (youth) who was supposed to an angel cos he was quite big sized. after that, i couldnt eat any of the fried food at the children's party. so sad lor, so we asked the aunties to save the fried food for us. as we were walking, people kept coming up to us and saying we did well. i was like sooo happy. so we did second service and this time maxine was sitting in the front so she kept smiling and raising her eyebrows at me, i had to stop myself from laughing. after we were done, i kinda felt sad cos i realised this was probably the last time aunty ruth would be our teacher and that it was our last time singing those songs together as a group =((( after that, me and huilin went to binge on all the fried food. soooo shiok. oh, i also got my christmas presents from all my friends. i got a lipgloss from maxine and tiara which i cant find cos i put it in my bag and when i came back it was gone =((, a pair of PINK earrings from grace, a nail art set from huilin and hilary said she would give us our presents next time. so we took like a lot of pics in our outfits before changing and going home.

my parents were having a christmas party for the chinese ministry at our house so my mum came back to prepare food while i just stayed upstairs watching the teen choice awards. i was supposed to help out with the gift exchange so i went downstairs and wrote numbers on all the ppl's presents. huilin came with her parents and the 2 of us made my trinket box while watching some disney channel movie. let me tell you, it is much harder then it seems. the glue was so sticky and all the beads kept sticking to my fingers. but it turned out quite nice.

so the next day, we were packing to go to the chalet where we were staying with huilin's family until 30th. before leaving, i turned the computer room chair where my sis wire was tangled on and her whole laptop dropped to the floor. thank God the computer system didnt spoil, but i did break the lock on the cover though, so now only one side of her com can close. she was like fuming mad and i got mad right back at her cos it wasnt really my fault. but our fight didnt last long, by the time we reached the chalet, we were on talking terms again. the chalet is actually quite dirty but we still go there anw just like a mini vacation. so for the past few days, we've watched a whole lot of dvds and huilin's older sis is a terrific cook so she has cooked for us for the past few days. going back there again after cca orientation tomorrow. gonna go borrow some dvds now... hope i wasnt too loso =P

i'm back from jb!! and i have lots to blog about, including the 3 days before i left for jb when huilin came to stayover.so, that was saturday. we had a long choir rehearsal and watched the drama for the first time. it was rather disappointing, cos they all had no expression when they talked. so our rehearsal lasted for 3 and a half hours. we went for lunch and huilin and then back to church cos my youth was starting at 4. at that time it was around 2. so me, huilin and my 2 sisters all stayed in church and played a bit, but just card games and stuff. after that, we had our first youth session. huilin stayed in the room and read her book while the youth had worship and message. we broke for class after that and had like an intro lesson. we just introduced ourselves and all that lah. so blahblahblah, we took bus and train home, i was sooo tired. then watched tv and played com then went to sleep.

next day, woke up and went to church. found that maxine and tiara were coming to our house after church cos their parents were going somewhere. anw, hilary was in china so it was THE perfect opportunity to make fun of spiky haired shawn cos hilary wouldnt be there to get mad. but so qiao, no hilary, no shawn. so sad.. hannah was supposed to be back from switzerland that day but she jet lagged so didnt come. we were quite bored cos there was no kool club and we were going to 2nd service so the whole morning we didnt really have anything to do. later we went for 2nd service and after that, grace decided to come to our house too. so the whole gang of us waited for my parents meeting to be over and all went back to our house. we warched some tv, played some com and played bingo too. then they all went home. that evening, me and huilin gave each other mani-pedicures, or so we tried to. played more com then slept.

next morning i went to cut hair. my mum woke me at 10am and called to hairdresser. she told us to come later so i went back to sleep for about an hour then woke up and left. when we were there, it was so crowded that we had to wait for about an hour or so until my mother got fed up and wanted to leave cos her china mentees had cooked lunch for her and she had agreed to come around 12 and it was around that time and we still hadnt got our haircuts. so the lady heard her and immediately asked her tosit. about 5 minutes later, she was cutting our hair. my hair looks about the same, just slightly shorter and not so out of shape.

so we went home and picked huilin and my dad and went to the china girls house. their food was very nice and we stayed there for quite long while they entertained my parents blahblahblah. then we went home and me and huilin baked the brownies her mum brought for us. while waiting for it to finish, we watched the HSM dvd she brought (obviously not my choice). then we changed and went out cos my parents have 5 tickets for A Night At The Museum preview. so my parents gave the tickets to me, my 2 sisters, huilin and her older bro, who was meeting us there. me, my 3rd sis and huilinwent there early and window shopped a bit. then we met my 2nd sis and huilin's bro at the theatre. he bought a whole load of snacks, namely: 2 cheesy hotdogs, 3 drinks, a big tub of popcorn and nachos and cheese. now that is what i call proper movie snacks. the movie was hi-la-ri-ous. absolutely hilarious. if you're looking for a movie to watch this december, this is a perfect one. so, we went christmas shopping for a bit and my parents came to fetch us. we had to send huilin and her bro home cos we were going to jb the next day. it was raining so heavily that from some angle, it looked like it was snowing. really cool.

so next day, woke up and packed and cos it was still raining, we had to delay our plans a bit so we left about an hour later. the ride there was..interesting. we were like playing around and then started trying to speak hokkien. it was very funny. the whole time it was raining so we didnt go straight to austin hills. instead, we went to pelangi mall and shopped there the whole day. it was ok lah. the most fun was playing with ariel (my baby niece) she was so cheerful and let me play with her and all that. so cute!! only thing i bought there was a pair of school shoes. so we were there so long and my uncle told us that we might not be able to go to austin hills cos it was still raining and flooded. so we were quite sad, and all of us all started praying. you should hear my cousin lester trying to sound like a pastor praying, very funny. we ate at this cool jap restaurant and had loads of fun, even though it cost a lot and the food was quite slow. i guess it's the company that counts. so we were praying and praying that the flood would subside. but it didnt. so we all tried to convince our dads to try to drive to the flood or even go to another hotel. but it was all unsucessful, so in the end, we all ended up staying at my cousins house. we watched little man but cos i was so tired, i fell asleep halfway.

next day woke up and played with ariel. she sooo cute!! then played some com before walking back to my house to wash up. turns out the flood was 1 in a 100 years then happen. we so dao mei, on the day supposed to go to austin hills and stay then flood. sigh.. anw, we left around 12 for jb again. this time it was bright and sunny. so we drived to another huge mall, which was smth like vivocity cos it was new and big. but lucky us, when we got there, it was closed due to a power failure. -__- so we went to jusco, this huge departmental store which had electricity cos it had it's own power generator and shopped there. after a while, the power came back on but for some reason, the aircon was still super hot. soo stuffy. so we shopped there the whole day and played lots of arcade thanks to my cousins marcus and lester. on the way back, my mum and sis started fighting and fought almost all the way back.. sigh...

today was supposed to go school but i was too tired so my mum just went. sorry sr, i know i'm supposed to return your book. i'll find a way, k?i know this post is like super long, so sorry. gonna go help my mum wrap christmas presents!

i feel like screaming aloud.... the one thing i hoped wouldnt happen, happened. i have to wear back brace. AHHHHH!!!! it's gonna be super uncomfortable lor. having to adjust to rgs uniform (apparently it's much hotter cos it's double layer) is bad enough without having to adjust to that brace around my body practically 24/7.

it all started (now it sounds like i'm telling a tragic tale.. =P) with me going to the spinal clinic. so i went thinking maybe increase by a few degrees only lah, nothing dangerous yet. went in and did all the measurement stuff, then went to take an x-ray. went up to the doctor's and had to take my top off so he could measure my back degree thing. and i thought that was bad. turns out that my back curved 10 degrees in 6months. which is actually average apparently. when i first checked in school this year, it was 7 degrees. i went to the hospital dunno how many months later and it was 24 degrees (big jump, i know) then now it's 34 degrees. the doctor said, better put brace immediately. i just nodded my head when i actually felt like shouting, NOOOOOOOO!! but obviously i just kept quiet and kept from crying.

so, went to the place where they would take my measurements and cast it on and everything. the hospital is like a huge maze. it took so long to find lor. so anw, i had to strip there again but full body this time (gross!!!) and it was a guy doing the casting thing, so...ewwww. anw, he took measurements, press my bones here and there while i stood there trying not to feel awkward or embarassed. then he wrapped me in like slimwrap thing and started putting plaster of paris on the clingwrap. it's supposed to be a mould so they can make the brace lor. it took quite long. i was standing there for almost an hour while he 'mummified' me. for those of you who have mild scoliosis, do sit ups and hang ups(hang from a bar or smth), dont let it get as bad as mine.. i'm warning you. i actually still remember going about 7 years ago with my 2nd sis to get her brace done. hers is worse then mine, hopefully the brace works and i wont get to that stage.

ok, so after all the hospital drama, me and my mum went to bibi and baba (the name super cute right?) to get rgs uniform cos my mum say after posting come out, there will be like super crowded. so we went and were looking for the uniform lah. found it at 1 corner and i wore it over my clothes cos i thought there was no changing room.i wanted to find a mirror to see myself so i walked over to the newly discovered changing room. i walked pass this mother and her daughter from rgps and the mother pointed to me and said, " see? the uniform so nice.." then my mother looked at her and said, "this one is secondary school one hor" then the woman got so embarassed and i started laughing. so funny.. so anw, bought the uniform with the idea of me having to wear the horrible brace underneath so i couldnt get too fitting one. if i go to rgs looking like a wrapped package, you all better not laugh hor...

came back from a 2 day sleepover and max's and tiara's house. i had a great time there, but only after i had PLEADED my mum to let me go. at first she didnt allow, saying i just got back from camp and everything and on top of that, i have piano lesson on friday so she said i had to practice. i was telling her, i'll practice before i leave, and after i come back. then after a while, she finally agreed.

well, their granduncle came to fetch me to their houseon wednesday late morning. i brought with me ribbons cos our church is giving fruitloafs to the residents in teban gardens so my mum agreed to make 1000 ribbons to tie around each loaf. she has to give it to the church by friday so she asked me to bring some to maxine and tiara's house to do, and maybe they could help me. so, that's what we did, of course we did it while watching movies, namely aquamarine and just friends. those movies are not bad.so we made ribbons (really lopsided ones cos i'm lousy at it) whlie watching dvds and eating like a ton of junk food that they brought back from perth. mmm, that's what i call the good life.

so anw, we watched till dinnertime then ate spaghetti for dinner. and tiara made numchucks (however you spell it) like the weapon that you see in movies with 2 sticks connected by a metal chain, except ours was made from 2 chopsticks and connected by bendy straws. haha.. what else did we do? hmm.. oh right, we played sparklers that evening after dinner cos it had just rained so it was cool outside. we were playing in their ginormous backyard and trying to throw them up to the trees. then, we showered and watched a bit more tv before going up to play game of life. i havent played that game for a looong time so it was basically my first time and tiara won..

in the night after we were supposed to be sleeping was fun. me and max just talked and talked and talked about almost everything, but mainly about the youths from youth camp. then raphael (their older bro) came in and all of us started talking. we were like asking him who he thought was the best looking guy in youth and he said, " aiyah, no hot guys in youth lah. except me lor but too bad i'm not in your youth anymore.." then started laughing. then we asked him who he thought were the best looking girls and he started naming a few. raphael quite funny lah, he talked to us for a long time until his gf called him so he left to call her back. me and max talked a while more until we were tired and went to sleep.

next day, i was awoken by tiara playing with the lightsticks she gave all of us last night. we all lazed around for a long time before heading downstairsto shower and play com. we decided to watch mean girls on youtube. i like that one..though it's kinda bitchy. then we had to go visit one of their neighbours with aunty janita (their mum) so me and tiara decided to wear rollerblades so we wouldnt have to go in =P. we both havent rollerbladed for a long time so maxine supported me while aunty jan supported tiara. theirneighbour wasnt in anw so we just went one round around the park. went back and watched agent cody banks 2 while eating pizza that we ordered for lunch. mm..i like pizza hut. anw, we just spent our day playing com and watching tv and still eating junk food. we also baked some brownies and made hot cocoa. so then around 6+, my mum came to pick me up and that was the end of our great sleepover.

sigh..got piano lesson tomorrow. plus my exciting (not) trip to the spinal clinic to see if my back has gotten worse. ahh..hope i dont have to wear braces..it seemed painful on my 2nd sis when she wore it...

helped out at gift shop today! was quite fun, though not a lot of ppl came to my station to change for gifts cos most of them didnt have enough points. since i was helping out, i got to change my gifts first, before the rest came down from service. a lot of the other p6s-going-on-sec 1s, like me, hannah, jonathan, jeremy, wen hon, and of course hilary came to help out too. surprisingly (not), spiky hair shawn (who is now officially spiky haired again) came to help out too though he's only p5, i wonder why..hmm... *coughs

so before the rest of ppl came down and we all arranged the gifts properly, we were all fooling around, mostly teasing spiky haired shawn. then they all came and halfway through, hilary, who was supposed to be helping me at the station left halfway through. but i wasnt surprised lah. she didnt even seem very happy to be there.

so after gift shop was over, we went up to play in the room. we just talked and stuff and hilary and grace decided to go to guardian or whatever to buy stuff. so, we were sitting there bored when i suddenly came up with the idea to see if shawn had sent hilary any interesting messages, since she left her phone there. so i was looking through and BINGO, there it was. at first i thought maybe it was another shawn, a friend from her old school or smth like that. so i was like 'eh, not fun one..' then i decided to look deeper and found more messages, referring to stuff that happened in church. so i called everyone in the room to come see (hannah, huilin, hannah's 2 bros, kaixin and leuven) then we all got so excited and stuff lah, cos normally on these type of plans, they always fail. just then, hilary and grace came back. so i was pretending to be playing games or smth lor. but kaixin lah, soooooooo big mouthed, go and tell hilary what i did. then obviously i cant lie right? so i have to admit lor. she was soooooo pissed. she was like slamming things down and throwing things around. again i talked to grace and pretended not to notice hilary and to avoid her dirty look. but then again, not all my fault cos she was pmsing today anw.

so then my sis called for some choir thing and hilary had to go down. so once she went out i was like so mad at kaixin, saying 'what you trying to do by telling her?? your motive to get me killed ah?' so like blahblahblah..then hilary came back, suddenly not angry again. she kinda killed me but in a playful way lah so still ok. we were playing uno when i came up with a new name for hil, wimanie ng'. wimanie is a cross between weeny, ninny and meanie and ng cos that's shawn's surname.so me and leuven decided to go upstairs to look for shawn, since we weren't allowed to look in hil's inbox, we went to see shawn's sent items. but his phone didnt even have that and he deleted all his sent messages. so, another failed mission.

we went back up and decided to have another go at hil's phone. just so happens. she left it on the floor so i grabbed it and the 3 of us ran all the way to the lift. we like took the lift all the way down, then took it up, then down, then up while leuven forwarded the messages to his phone for evidence to show shawn. the messages are so cute lor, like asking her to meet in the playground, and telling her his home number and everything. so sweet, dunno why hil dont like. but anw, we went back and hil was like super pissed this time, i mean i cant blame her or anything. so she like grabbed her phone back and stormed out since she had to go home anw. once she went out i was like phew. and started talking bout it when hil came back to ask me what time was choir, hopefully she didnt hear what we were saying. but when she asked, she didnt seem that mad and she wasnt at choir too, so i was like so relieved.

aiyah, i got camp tomorrow until friday, then on friday i got youth camp until monday so i wont get to post till next week. so, tata people!!

so, didnt get to post yesterday about the class party.well, i went to sr's ginormous house straight from piano lesson. the only girls there were jiaen and laura, the boys were watching jake long. so, when everyone finally arrived, jean and laura got then to go up to the library (can you believe she has one in her house??) so the girls (excluding me) wanted to play truth or dare. it was ok lah, it never got to me or sr, though shiyin and i had already prepared a dare for her. then they tried to play murderer wink (i suggested murderer in the dark but the girls all objected) but failed terribly cos some of the guys didnt even know how to wink! well, then we ate dinner, a very nice one, and then went back up. finally after my many pleas, they agreed to play twister. let me tell you, that game is sooo fun. we got all tangled up and everything. then we ate dessert and played more twister and that was basically it. i went back with shiyin cos my parents said they were gonna be late. she wanted to let me watch the movie just friends downloaded on her com but somehow it didnt work so we ended up watching john tucker. it was not bad but i had to go home half way through though so i dont know how it ended.

on the way home, we passed by my cousin's house and found that my baby cousins were there! so we convinced my dad to reverse all the way down and we went in. turns out they had a bbq there. so we went in and i started playing with my baby cousins, joel and jaden. they're quite attention seeking but harmless lah. so my sis started teaching them lines from tv. she told joel to say 'i..dropped the screw..in the tuna' but somehow along joel's brain path, it turned out as ' i got the school in the teena' we all started laughing like crazy. my sis also told him to say ' thanks for the butt bruise' and it turned out as ' thank you for the fart it's ready' it was soooooooooo hilarious.

well today i woke up late and missed ballet. i wont be going till next year cos next week i'll be at camp (yay!!) and it's the last lesson before they close next week. so i was in my pjs till like 2 until my sis reminded me that i had my first youth session today. i had totally forgotten. so i went to bathe and change and wake my dad up to fetch us to church cos it's soo far. he didnt want to wake up so i went back up to watch tv since it was still early. after that i woke him up soo many times that he got pissed but at least he went to change and we headed for church.

they were half way through the service when we reached but it was ok. then they called all the p6s up and the whole ym started doing this jap exercise weirdo thing to a video to make us seem welcomed or smth and right then, i was soo glad that i was p6 and didnt have to do it. so we had a message and when everyone broke off for discussion, the p6s and sec 1s went downstairs for some orientation thing. we drew pics to introduce ourselves. it was ok lah, some quite funny.

so that was it. me and hil were pretty hungry so she agreed to treat me to 7-11. we went there and bought mashed potatoes.i brought mine to the counter and somehow, i dropped it and it spilled all over my shoes and hand. it was burning hot. that indian women cashier handed me some tissues and hil told me to get another cup. then another indian women, the cleaner came in and started scolding me, saying 'see lah girl?? see what you did? now i have to clean the floor again. all these children always like that. like yesterday.....' then continued muttering under her breath as she went out to get the mop. i was thinking, you have to clean it before you go home anw. it's your job. duh.. so to stop her idiotic complaining, i used hil's wet wipes to wipe the floor as well when the indian cashier told me, ' it's ok' but you could see her face was so strained like she just wants to act nice but wants me to clean it. so after i got another cup, i put it on the counter, safely this time, the women said,' one small cup also cannot carry ah?' so i apologised. then she asked 'so you waste one cup how?' i looked at her thinking, you tell me lah. so obvious she was hinting that we should pay, just want to act nice only. hil told her she could pay for it then the women,' you sure ah?' not like we have a choice right? if we say no leh? what will she do? arghh. so hil just paid for it and we left, complaining bout that irritating cashier. these type of ppl are so irritating. i know it's my fault and all but they do NOT have the right to scold me. those ppl just make me want to slap them on the face.

well, all that bad stuff aside, tomorrow is my first time that i wont be going to kool club (the children's programme) i'll be going to help at the gift shop, which is where the children go to exchange their stamps, which they earn from doing their homework, for gifts. it should be fun..

when the going gets tough, the tough get issues.
