finally my internet is working! yayy!! well, i have a longlonglong post to blog about so brace yourself..=) so, it all started on the 23rd, which is saturday. we had our very last choir practice. and becayse they were having a christmas party at teban gardens (which i didnt go to), there was no youth. so i went home cos we were having our family christmas celebration for my mother's side at my house. my mum said that they would be coming early so we all bathed and changed and all and waited. and waited. and waited some more. they were supposed to come at 4, and ended up coming at 7. but anw, so we started the dinner. the turkey was super yummy =) and then we watched some tv, and played some games that my aunty planned. like you choose whether the next card is gonna be bigger or smaller. then if you're right, you win some prizes. you go on until you decided it's enough and want to claim your prizes, or when you guess wrong and lose all your prizes. it was very fun. then we sang some christmas carols. you should hear my cousin lester sing suprano..very funny. the it was present time, this year my presents were quite nice, better then last year at least. i got:
- a trinket box where you stick on all the beads yourself
-a bathrobe (pink!!)
- a mickey mouse notebook
- a beautiful pair of tiffany earrings (heart shaped)
- a kinda scary looking coin pouch
- a soft toy pig keychain
- 2 t shirts
the next day was sunday so obviously i went to church. i was supposed to go home early so i went for 1st service with my sis. after that, i went to find maxine and the gang in 1 of the classrooms. so we just talked lah, and lazed around a bit, that was until we found out spiky hair shawn (let's just call him shs) was in the room opposite ours. so we went inside to tease him, cos hilary wasnt with us. he was with lin qi, this p4 geper in my school who's way way weirder then normal gepers and his little sis. so lin qi came to me and started doing weird actions while practically shouting in my ear " the earth is spinning, the earth is spinning!! it's in front of you, beside you, behind you, all around you!!!" while circling me. told you he was weird. so i started telling him he was the reason mainstreamers all thought we were freaky weirdos and how obviously i knew the earth was spinning. later hilary came with danae ( she's a year older and has been living in london for a long time. according to maxine, she's very nice but i wouldnt know) and once hilary saw shs, she immediately went back to the room we were in just now, so we dragged shs to that room and hilary immediately took her stuff and went with danae to the next room. oh well.. so we just stayed there and played and teased shs somemore until i had to leave.
we went home and i watched the VMAs on channel 5. watched it till i fell asleep. woke up just in time to change and get ready to go to my cousin's house. we were celebrating christmas with my father's side. so we went there, watched a bit of tv, and started dinner. it wasnt as good as esterday's one but it was still nice. then we watched more tv and drank some wine. they all said my 3rd sis was drunk cos she kept laughing at herself and some random stuff. haha. then they all said wanted to go to kbox but my mum didnt let us cos we were supposed to sleep early cos we had to reach church early for our christmas performance. so they planned and planned and finally decided to go to my aunty's house to play mahjong, but not before i got my present. cos my dad only has a sister and a brother, i only got 1 present, a billabong pencilbox. i was like ecstatic lah!! i had been looking for a pencilbox for the whole holidays. i'm also gatting a pair of birkenstocks ( yayyyyy!!!), but my aunty hasnt bought them yet.so we went there and the adults played mahjong while the reast of us played cards. we played taiti the after that, my cousin thought us a different way to play blackjack, the way they play at the casino apparently. then we used chocolate as gambling chips, very funny.. so we were supposed to sleep by 10 30, but ended up onlly leaving at 11 30. =P went home and helped my sis wrap her christmas presents (cookies!) even though my mum was shouting at us to go sleep. so, finally at 12 40, i went to sleep.
next morning was suppoed to wake up at 6 30, ended up waking up at 7. then my mum yelled and screamed at my sis before finally leaving, very late. after just leaving, we realised we forgot our choir files. we turned all the way back to take and my father drove like super fast to get us there on time. we were only 3 minutes late. phew. so we warmed up, changed into ouir outfits, put on makeup and went to wait outside the hall. i was like super nervous lah but once i went up, i wasnt nervous anymore. the skit improved a lot and everyone was laughing at elijah (youth) who was supposed to an angel cos he was quite big sized. after that, i couldnt eat any of the fried food at the children's party. so sad lor, so we asked the aunties to save the fried food for us. as we were walking, people kept coming up to us and saying we did well. i was like sooo happy. so we did second service and this time maxine was sitting in the front so she kept smiling and raising her eyebrows at me, i had to stop myself from laughing. after we were done, i kinda felt sad cos i realised this was probably the last time aunty ruth would be our teacher and that it was our last time singing those songs together as a group =((( after that, me and huilin went to binge on all the fried food. soooo shiok. oh, i also got my christmas presents from all my friends. i got a lipgloss from maxine and tiara which i cant find cos i put it in my bag and when i came back it was gone =((, a pair of PINK earrings from grace, a nail art set from huilin and hilary said she would give us our presents next time. so we took like a lot of pics in our outfits before changing and going home. my parents were having a christmas party for the chinese ministry at our house so my mum came back to prepare food while i just stayed upstairs watching the teen choice awards. i was supposed to help out with the gift exchange so i went downstairs and wrote numbers on all the ppl's presents. huilin came with her parents and the 2 of us made my trinket box while watching some disney channel movie. let me tell you, it is much harder then it seems. the glue was so sticky and all the beads kept sticking to my fingers. but it turned out quite nice.so the next day, we were packing to go to the chalet where we were staying with huilin's family until 30th. before leaving, i turned the computer room chair where my sis wire was tangled on and her whole laptop dropped to the floor. thank God the computer system didnt spoil, but i did break the lock on the cover though, so now only one side of her com can close. she was like fuming mad and i got mad right back at her cos it wasnt really my fault. but our fight didnt last long, by the time we reached the chalet, we were on talking terms again. the chalet is actually quite dirty but we still go there anw just like a mini vacation. so for the past few days, we've watched a whole lot of dvds and huilin's older sis is a terrific cook so she has cooked for us for the past few days. going back there again after cca orientation tomorrow. gonna go borrow some dvds now... hope i wasnt too loso =P
